PEACE-BUILDING

“Democracy is an objective. Democratization is a process. Democratization serves the cause of peace because it offers the possibility of justice and of progressive change without force.."

We all face conflicts of different kinds throughout our lives, and by doing our part individually, we can collectively advance our world towards peace; one community, one person, and one day at a time.

Lack of accountability weakens the environmental and health rights of citizens; it damages peace- building and reconciliation initiatives; impedes the implementation of global health policies; leads to the loss of ecosystems and biodiversity; and weakens democracy, justice, human rights, and international security.

Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures. “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.”

CADEF is working in close cooperation with international organizations, civil society, and other community-based organizations, and a network of experts, to promote youth peace-building empowerment, cultural diversity, continuous learning, capacity building. Our projects include on-the-ground programs combining education, life and wellness skills and Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) for peace and development, broadcast series, social events, as well as awareness campaigns.

our projects aim at mobilizing the power of youth through capacity-building and development, connectivity, strengthening local communities, impacted by conflict, armed violence, insecurity, ethnic tensions.

We aim at helping communities impacted by destructive conflicts transform into safer and more prosperous communities. We work to empower and inspire youth, women, and global citizens to promote peace across Cameroon. We conduct and sustain our peace initiatives through conflict resolution education programs and methodologies, grassroots projects,
